Snow

Last week we went to the beach, so this week we went to the snow. Thanks to Yvonne’s motivation, we drove up the Yarra Valley to Warburton and then Mt Donna Buang. Yvonne expected a winter wonderland around every corner, but it was still exciting when we found the first dirty remnants of snowplowed piles. Up at the top there was plenty of snow – a bit wet and trodden-upon, but real actual snow.
Of course, we don’t have a lot of equipment for the weather – I was toasty in my ski jacket and Sorels, while Tilda was wearing pink gumboots and my huge gloves, trying to slide down a hill on her raincoat.
We left when hands and bottoms started to hurt from being too wet and cold.
It went better than last time.
