After Christmas
We’ve had a busy week since Christmas, with lots of places to go and new toys to try out. Tilda has had a lot of fun with Phoebe and Estella, and has also occasionally been the grumpiest monster on the face of the earth.

As you can see by the presents under the tree, this was while she was still fresh and full of enthusiasm and gratitude.
Christmas morning
The day didn’t start particularly well, with Tilda throwing up (in the toilet! yay!) at 6 AM. We went back to sleep for a couple hours, and then started in on the gifts. She had 40 presents under the tree, but she made it through. Now we’re waiting for Phoebe and Estella to come back [...]
Merry Christmas!
I took this photo last week, before the tree started to turn quite brown. In real life, I type this as I wait for Tilda to fall asleep. She’s sick today – feverish and achey – but I asked her if she wanted to postpone Christmas until she felt better, and she said no.
Things we made for Christmas
I did actually make a few things for Christmas, in a last-minute burst of enthusiasm. A potholder for Tilda’s great-grandma, featuring a Tilda self-portrait: sleepover bags for Phoebe and Elena: and some very delicious pretzel-chocolate-caramel-pecan treats:
