Eltham

Today we went to the miniature railway in Eltham, which is an entertainment bargain at $3 per 20-minute ride.
Right next door are the ponies to ride, or even a horse if you’re lucky.
And an opportunistic scout troupe was having a sausage sizzle.
There were some complaints when I didn’t spring for the ice cream van, even though she never ever eats very much of it (because it isn’t very good).
At some point she declared it the best day ever. I think she’d changed her mind by the time we had the ice cream discussion. But she did get a second ride on a pony.
