Cleaning the sandpit

Posted on | June 6, 2007 | No Comments

I finally got around to cleaning out the sandpit today (I was probably inspired by this post). Not that it didn’t look perfectly appealing the way it was. This is what happens if I leave the lid off one time when it rains – everything becomes too difficult and I can’t get around to remedying the situation.

Tilda helped by cleaning the small fortune’s worth of gooey Schleich animals, until she got bored.

We also learned something about the mosquito life cycle.

I persevered, with soapy water and some bleach and the hose (which was probably contrary to water restrictions. But bringing back malaria or the plague is no good either.)

Now it’s all clean! And moved to its sunnier winter spot.
