Yeah, no, I didn’t really like those quilt blocks. I decided to go with the hanging strips effect instead.

Another way to use a tent pole

Eventually I realized that I was running out of fabric – stupid seam allowances! I scrounged a few more pieces out of the cupboard and managed to piece together a single-ish quilt top.

Now on to the quilting, although Tilda probably wouldn’t mind sleeping under just the top. It wouldn’t be so bad, either – this is the first quilt top IN HISTORY (well, mine anyway) that has all the seam allowances pressed and sewn over in the right direction. Very tidy.
