Anne’s here

Playing with paper dolls

The weather was kind to Anne, as the cool change arrived just as we brought her home from the airport. The weather forecast looks fairly benign, so I’m quite hopeful that she won’t be cooked during her stay. Tilda loves having a visitor.

Saturday was a very exciting day. Brad had bought 6 tickets to a Hi-5 concert for Tilda for Christmas, but he only told her about it on Saturday morning. She then got to call Phoebe and Ishika and invite them along. Yvonne was sick, and Anne obviously couldn’t believe her good fortune when she was able to take Yvonne’s place.

After Hi-5

The concert was at Hamer Hall, so the seats were really comfortable. More than that, I actually enjoyed the show, particularly when Hi-5 got on trapezes. Tilda, Phoebe and Ishika did quite a bit of dancing, singing, and shouting at the stage.

Chips, aioli, champagne and beer at the Curve Bar after Hi-5

Afterwards we went to the Curve Bar and the girls ran around on the lawn while Anne, Sanjot and I had drinks, but they noticed when the big bowl of hot chips arrived. I spent a lot of time missing my enormous camera, as I’d brought the boring old little camera instead.

Tilda at Richmond Hill Cafe

Today we took Anne to the Botanic Gardens, after cheesy toast at Richmond Hill Cafe. I brought the enormous camera this time.

Anne at the Botanic Gardens

Poor Tilda has had a sore and crusty nose for quite a while now – her nose was running for what seemed like a month, and eventually it got very chafed. The runny nose seems to have calmed down, but her nostrils are quite a mess. I’m hoping that 5 swimming lessons this week will soften everything up and I can stop retouching boogers out of the photos.
