Sunday at the beach

We had some very summery weather today, on the second day of Australian autumn, so we headed to the Mornington Peninsula with Andrea and Tony.
We started off in Rosebud, in warm, calm, shallow water. Tilda noted fewer fish, and wasn’t too afraid of those she saw. She actually swam – her first time swimming in the ocean.
As usual, it seemed like a lot of hassle to pack everything and everyone into the car, and the drive down Springvale Road took forever. Once we were on a sunny beach, it all seemed worth it.
(So I don’t know why I look so annoyed in this picture.)
After an ice cream from the boat hire place in Rosebud, we drove to Sorrento to have a look at the open ocean. Then a long drive back, with sneaky Tilda taking a nap. Now it’s 10:57 on a school night and she’s not asleep yet …
